Until recently, I was the head of marketing at Mediabistro, a blog network and resource for media professionals. The startup sold for $23 million in 2008 and became a publicly-held company.

I learned tons of hands-on digital marketing, branding, content, and audience development skills at Mediabistro. But the main thing I learned was that if you stick to your mission, you'll always know what to do. Your community will tell you if you go astray.

I've also written copy for firms including Pentagram and Random House, spoken at many conferences, and taught and managed lots of people. My background is in theater (B.A. Barnard), and I have an M.Phil In Performance Studies from NYU, where I learned how to think critically and creatively.

There's lots more. Ask me for my resume.
